Structured Implementation Process

We use a structured, tried and tested approach based on the guidance contained in the ISO/IEC 20000 standard, our own experience and on the feedback from the many clients and auditors we have dealt with during previous assignments. This splits the implementation into three main phases (see opposite). At the end of each phase we will repeat the assessment we carried out at the start of the project to show you how far you have come and highlight possible next steps.

Effective Workshops

At Public IT we use our experience to guide you and your team through the implementation process using a series of focussed workshops. Each workshop aims to map out a process that represents best practice for your particular organisation, but it also includes the use of various techniques to ensure that staff are involved in the process and take ownership of the changes, an essential aspect if the project is to be successful. We will also provide coaching to the management team so that required areas such as management review and continuous improvement are fully addressed.

Comprehensive Document Templates

In each area we will also provide template documents covering the main areas of IT service management together with detailed guidance on how they should be tailored to your organisation. This alone will save you a significant amount of time.

Qualified and Experienced Staff

We take training very seriously at Public IT and our Principal Consultant Ken Holmes holds ITIL V3 Expert, ITIL V2 Manager, ISO/IEC 20000 Consultant and ISO/IEC 20000 Auditor qualifications and is a member of the Institute of IT Service Management. Ken has over twenty years experience of IT service management covering many of the major outsourcers in the UK and abroad and sectors such as retail, telecomms, manufacturing and local government.
